This course is suited for people who are new to vinyl application or are looking to join the graphics and signage industry. It covers all the basic skills and techniques you will need to get started.
DURING THIS COURSE WE WILL COVER:
- Surface cleaning and preparation.
- Vinyl application & squeegee techniques.
- Understanding the different types of vinyl films
- Basic knife handling and cutting skills.
- Weeding and app-taping vinyl.
- Production and pre-press tips & tricks to streamline your workflow.
- How to complete basic signage jobs from start to finish.
Note: Vehicle wrapping techniques are not covered in the Beginner course.

Instructor Bio: Cal James
Throughout his career Cal has participated in multiple award-winning wrapping competitions, worked at various sign shops in Melbourne, and travelled around the world to share his technical expertise and skills. He is passionate about collaborating with industry professionals and providing hands-on support to enhance their wrapping techniques. With over 20 years of knowledge and experience under his belt, he breaks down complex topics into easy-to-understand lessons.
